Chasing Waterfalls in Koh Phangan

After spending a few days at a resort in Koh Phangan, I went back to the backpacker life and stayed at a hostel on Koh Phangan, which ended up being the best decision. I chose to stay at Jungle Vibes after reading all the positive reviews of the place on Hotelworld and it surpassed my expectations. Johny and Dario, the owners of the hostel, were super friendly and took us out on sightseeing tours almost daily as well as to bars in the evening. The place is just chill vibes all around. Dario’s sister has a cafe right next to the hostel so breakfast is just a few steps away!

Koh Phangan is notorious for its Full Moon Parties, Half Moon Parties, and Jungle Parties. I purposely left the morning of the Full Moon Party because it didn’t really seem like my scene. I loved that I got to explore a calmer side of Koh Phangan and really embrace the beauty of the island. I definitely would have seen a small fraction of what I saw if it wasn’t for Johnny and Dario (I rode with them during the tours since my scootering days ended after I nearly drove my scooter off a hill in Pai). During my time on the island, I swam in a lot of waterfalls, did some hiking, and went a little coco for coconuts.
